Advantages/Disadvatages od using a Spreadbore carb on a Squarebore Intake

As the title states I just bought a Holley 650 Spread bore carb with electric choke and vaccum secondaries. I didnt realize it was a spread bore until I got it home. I luckly had an adapter laying around and bolted it right up and had her fired up in about 30 minutes. But I wanted to know with the carb sitting 2" higher now, what are the dis-avantages/advantages of using it on a squarebore intake?? I hear I will gain better low end but loose top end? Let me know thanks!!!

Spread-to-square adapters usually have flow issues with those huge secondary valves being shrouded. Holley's spread-bore carbs are anything but performance-oriented as well.

I have heard they do have flow problems, but the car is mostly a street car and will only hit the track maybe 5 times a year. I had a 600 edelbrock before this and that carb was junk through and through. I still have some tuning to do because it backfired a few times. Just trying to get the adapter and carb to bolt together and down to the intake was a PITA.
