Gas Tank - EFI vs Carb?

Hi Everyone - Much to my disappointment this weekend after removing my gastank I found a series of pin holes (most likely my fault for grinding the rust off it to prep it for a coating of POR 15). Either way it felt like it had a weak neck and long story short I tossed it to the curb rather than fix it. Now to the question...

I see on summits site there is two gas tanks for our vehicles..one for efi and one without...links seen below. I am running a carb now and have some new prebent lines from inline as well. What is the difference between the two? If I get the one for the carb will my float and sending unit not work since those pieces are from when my car was a fuel injected v6?

Thanks for the input...to me a gas tank should just be a gas tank
