I'll be replacing my starter today, and I plan on using an LT1 starter. Which one are people using though, I see the corvette and f-body ones are different. They're both about the same price. I am almost leaning towards the corvette one, because it looks slightly easier to hook up the wires once it's installed.

There is also the one which fits my truck, a 95 C1500. It is also a lightweight starter, and looks similar to the f-body LT1 starter. It looks like it takes 2 long bolts, I'm wondering if maybe it's for a 168 tooth flywheel.

Well, I picked up the Corvette starter, I'm about to go change it. I've read several posts saying that different bolts are needed, can anyone confirm this? I went to the dealer to try and get the right starter bolts, but the short one is discontinued. I think my T5 starter already has one long and one short bolt, so hopefully I can re-use them.

 

I am running the vette starter. Only problem I am having is it hitting my Hedman LT's. Just a few wacks with a hammer and it should be fine.

Oh yeah, I was running a 700R4 now th350 and the stock bolts worked.
