Key won't come out of ignition
I am an owner of my first camaro, it's an '88 v6 5 speed. When i got the car, i put the key in the ignition obviously, when i got to my place, the ignition would not go to the lock position to take the key out. The previous owners do not remember how to get the key out. Any ideas? Thanks.

did you try turning the wheel a little. there is a plate with slots in it. the lock has to line up with a slot.

Do any models of the camaro need to be in 1st or R to lock the wheel? And is there a release button anywhere I am not seeing? Sorry if I sound dumb, this is my first camaro, owned it for a day.

there is a little black lever near the ignition on the 5 speed cars that needs to be held down before the key can be removed
