spark plugs

After seeing a episode of horse power tv last year they were showing these E3 plugs. Giving more hp and less gas consumption. After getting these i looked at the difference between them and the replacement ac delco's you would get from autozone. I seen the diodes (not sure if thats the right word or not. the part that sparks) would sit into the motor closer to the piston. I want to be sure this isnt going to burn a hole in my piston or not.

Will these E3 plugs be ok cause they were like 6 bucks a peice.

Oh another last question. when i was rebuilding the motor some old guy told me not to use gasket sealer on the front rubber seal for the oil pan. And now it leaks i was hoping it would swell shut be so far hasnt i'm not driving the car yet and dont want oil down the back of my car. Is there anything you guys can reccomend to put in the oil to get it to stop leaking.

thanks tom

Think of Horse Power TV as a video magazine. Magazines do articles promoting the products of their advertisers. That should tell you all you need to know about E3 plugs.

You shouldn't use sealer on the end gaskets for the oil pan. But, a dab of silicone on the corners where it meets the rail gaskets is usually recommended.

Re: spark plugs

There are a bunch of threads about E3 plugs which basically amount to people arguing. The trend that you'll notice is people who have used E3s like them and people who have not hate them. To answer your question, no they will not harm your engine in any way. I've had them in my 305 for over a year and love them, but I'm not going to start that battle again...
