Coolant diverter work with carb?
I originally posted this in Cooling but haven't gotten any response. Maybe my fellow swappers could help me out.
Does this valve work with a carb? I was at the JY yesterday and saw one so I grabbed it. I was wondering if the feed from the plenum could be replaced by the feed from the intake manifold. I didn't know if there is a pressure difference. My vacuum lines were just cut at the firewall. Also if so, how do you know which vacuum line should go to the diverter valve? And the vacuum line to engine vacuum, where should that be tied in? Any help would be appreciated as I'm putting in a new heater core this weekend and need to plumb everything. The heat was eliminated on the car when I bought it.

Why wouldn't it?
Sorry, can't help you identify which vacuum line is which. Mine don't even have the valve.

I didn't know if there was a pressure difference. It's only plastic. I couldn't think of a better way to keep hot coolant out of the cockpit during Florida's hot summers, so I'm putting it back in.
Thanks for the help.
