anyone using this style alternator bracket

Car: 82 S10, 83 280ZX, 84 Z28
Engine: 355 smallblocks..na, 2.8 turbo
Transmission: 85:th350, 84:700R4
Axle/Gears: 85:ford9 4.85, 84:stock 3.24
anyone using this style alternator bracket
i can't get leverage to tighten the belt. just curious if anyone else is having this problem and how you fixed it.

its at the bottom. its bolted on the engine otherwise i would have a better shot.

Is that a mid-mount or low-mount? I always get to them from below (becuase the slider is on the bottom side, like you said). Just a short pry bar jammed between the alternator body and whatever is handy on the water pump or mounting tabs has always gotten it done for me.

i guess i'd call it a mid mount. i'll pull it up on the ramps and try it from the bottom. this is a really cool bracket with this exception.
