My GTA Won't Start!
350 TPI. Alright. I took my car out of storage last week. The car started fine, i drove it around the block, put air in the tires, etc. I put it back, and went came back this week, planning on driving and tuning it up. I pull it out of the garage, where it started fine, pulled it in front of the other garage, because one of the tires apparently leaks. I turn it off, run through the house and open the garage door to pull it in. I decide to find out what would happen (I always do stupid sh
t) if I put the key i have without a chip in it in the ignition and turn it. it turns, nothing happens. Yay, it did nothing. I go to put the key with the chip (resistor) in the ignition, turn it. The car turns over, sounds like its going to start. So I let off on the key (I always do that, i dont like to keep the key turned if the engine is started), and it dies. It did not idle, but it sounded like it was going to start.. I go down to the shop my buddy works at, and talk to some of the mechanics there. I tell them the story, and one of them thinks it might be a theft thing. Which makes sense, because if the car is being turned over but the circuit is not completed without the chip, the car will think it is being stolen. He prints off a thing telling me to leave the chipped key in the ignition on the RUN position for approx. 4 mins. I do this, and then turn the car over. It turns over and over, does not start. I have spent the last couple hours trying to figure it out, until i killed my battery. So now my car is in the garage, tire full of air, but wont start. Your
would be greatly appreciated. Give me any ideas, i am really pissed. I guess i found out what turning the key without the resistor does now >.<

sounds like a fuel pump. Could be bad injector(s). There will be no code for a bad injector. You have to use an ohmeter or multimeter. Do you hear any humming from the back of your car? If it VATS , there is a way to bypass it. Im not sure of the method though, involves using your multimeter on your key to check the resistance and then go to your local Radio Shack and buy a one dollar resistor. Also if worse comes to worse and that doesnt work. You will have to get a custom chip burnt with vats delete. not too expensive, around a hundred bucks. Let me know how it goes

Re: My GTA Won't Start!
Alright, i figured it out. If there was one thing that i remembered from auto class in highschool, it was this. If the car if flooded, give it full throttle while trying to start. If it is flooded, full throttle gives it more air that it needs to start. Awesome i am so happy i drove it around today, put a new fuel filter, cap and rotor, and made a cold air intake for it. Thanks for your help.
