I was wondering what all vehicles came with a Vortec engine so I can try and find some intake bolts. I need at least two with studs for my accessories but if I can find all of them that would be great also. I am going to try and find a bigger sway bar there to replace my 30MM one on my car now and figured since I was there I might as well look for these bolts also. I think 96-99 Tahoes had the Vortec heads but not sure about what other vehicles had them. Can anyone give me a list of which vehicles to even look for because this yard is huge but can get a print out of a specific area these vehicles would be in if I knew what to search for

exactly what bolts do you need. i swapped a couple vortecs and saved a lot of bolts from the old engines. we have a pull a part down here and the vortec stuff goes fast.

Mine came out of a van, but all the intake bolts are just that BOLTS no studs. They might be different in a truck or car.

Re: going to pull a part tomorrow
I need the intake bolts, thats the only ones I really need. I actually just need two studs that will fit the Vortec heads for accessories since the bolts from the original 305 will not fit the Vortec heads. I had an add in the buy section needing these intake bolts but only had one reply and never heard back from them. I can get a whole set of Vortec intake bolts by ARP but no studs

No I am using a Vortec TBI intake. I need the 5/16 bolts that bolt the intake to the heads and 2 with studs if possible. if anyone knows where to get the studs I can get the others

You can re-use your Camaro accessories when swapping in a Vortec 350. It's still a small block, just with better heads.

You are correct, I was thinking the Alternator bolted to the intake stud but looking at the picture I now see it doesn't. I guess I should have went through all my pictures before I made this post. I will just get some ARP bolts then and be done with it. Thanks for all the help
