Anti-seize every time??

I was just wondering if when using anti-seize on like the intake, exhaust, and all the other bolts on aluminum heads, intakes and the like, if I should put on a fresh coat everytime I remove a bolt or if I just need to reapply it only once in a while after the first use? As for spark plugs and header bolts I would guess probly every time on them, right? Just wanting to make shure because this is my first set of alum heads and I have used the hell out of the anti-seize lol but noticed on some of the other bolts I used it on in my tpi plenum and intake that it looked like it had enough to work.

Re: Anti-seize every time??

on the intake bolts teflon thread sealant would be better. it wont seize. really lock tite wont seize either. just use the appropriate one like blue or green. i would apply a very small amount every time. clean out the old stuff.

Yeah, the bolts that need to be sealed, use thread sealant. The other bolts, it would be good to put anti sieze on them. And I would clean off the old stuff and put a new thin coat when I pulled the bolt out later on. You may not need to, but it wouldn't hurt.

all of the above . ask any marine O/B mechanic . easy to ruin an expensive part without teflon tape & anti-seize . good luck .
