90 Formula Firebird/steering column

I am trying to replace the steering column and for the life of me I cannot get the knuckle to line up with the shaft of the steering column. I was wondering ir there was some special trick or if the two should just line right up so you can bolt them together?

NEVERMIND I GUESS THIS IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WITH QUESTIONS

Re: 90 Formula Firebird/steering column

You need to give people time to see your posts and respond to them. You don't always get what you want or need within a day. Not everyone here has done anything with the steering column on these cars. I know I certainly haven't and I've owned three of these cars. Two of which I've still got. That being said I will be replacing the steering column in one of my cars and therefore I'm interested in anything steering column related.

Chill out and give it some time.
