belts and pulleys plus other questions
1)
I need some pictures of an engine bay. i have a 84 with a 305 HO. well i dont think that the belts and pulleys are correct on the car. i go around the engine, water pump, A/C, and power steering for one belt then the other is around the engine, water pump, then the alternator.
something is wrong with how the belts line up it would probably help if i posted a picture of my set up so i will tomorrow.
2)
i have a clunking that sounds like it is coming from the rear. i did a search and every one says u-joints. well i replaced the drive shaft and the noise is still there. so what else could the problem be?
also new rear shocks.
3)
i turn my electric fan on and it bogs down the motor could that be an alternator problem? if so is there a higher power alternator that will fit my car?
4)
i only have air coming out of my defroster what is the fix for that?
5)
i have no A/C in my car it looks like the clutch for the ac does not engage when i turn the ac on. could this be related to question 4
6)
i have an 84 and i tried to put a newer 90is bumper on the car but it would not line up with the fenders is that correct do i need new fenders to use a newer bumper.
7)
i have also decided to try to put the stock ground effects form 84 on a berlinette bumper that is on my car has any one on here done that.
i think this is all for now. sorry for bundling all of this in to one post but it is easier for me this way.

4) verify that the vacuum source for the HVAC controls is connected and sending vacuum to the control head. With no vacuum all the servoes default to the defrost position. In failsafe mode the windshield will still stay clear.
3) You can upgrade your alternator to a 140A unit by either retrofitting a larger unit or rebuilding your existing alternator with a HD stator, rectifier assembly, and regulator.
2) When/how does the noise occur?

2) all of the time while moving. from what i can tell the noise goes away while accelerating but cruising at any speed i can here the noise.
