Intake height/ hood clearance ?????

Intake height/ hood clearance ?????
Im wondering what intakes people are getting away with being able to keep the stock Iroc hood?
How much taller than a stock Q-jet intake can i go?
I will either be using a 1406 edelbrock or a 9625 carter afb since thats what i have other than q-jets.
Right now i have an older holley street dominator that is fairly tall and an delbrock performer rpm non air gap, or a stock Q-jet intake and carb.

Im not positive what you can run. I have a cowl hood and a high rise intake, but the air cleaner dosent even reach the cowl, so it should work with a regular hood.

I am running weiand stealth high rise intake with 1" carb riser and my hood won't quite clear the filter. Im sure you can get away with my intake minus the riser. I'm also running a holley 700 DP.
