Car idles smooth when not in gear and the map sensor disconnected. When put in reverse it stalls or shuts off. When I put it in drive it runs but it does not run right. When map sensor is connected the car shuts off and car does not run at all. Tried new map sensor and it did the same thing. Is this a map sensor problem or a fuel pump, or fuel pump relay problem? I heard this might be a fuel problem since the map sensor kind of has something to do with the fuel or fuel mixture. Could this be an electrical problem? Please any help or any suggestions? I have had this car for two months and I have replaced all sensors you can think of. The car seems to fix itself for a little while then goes back to the same problem. Now I am having this map sensor problem. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

check your TPS to see whether it's within specs

 

if it checks out.. check your fuel pressure and see what it reads.. also your IAC

 

It is not the IAC cause i have already changed that. On the other subject how do you check for fuel pressure?
