ok i have a 1986 camaro and i just took the 2.8 out and but i new one it and i took the old one apart and number 2 piston broke it took the whole skirt on one side off what would cause this and the crank is shot in the bc the barings where 30 thousandths and the crank was 10 and 20 how do i fix this plz help!!!!

The piston is destroyed for the same reason your crank is shot, from your description someone put the wrong crank bearings in last rebuild. You'll likely need to have the block machined, possibly sleeved if the damage to the cylinder wall is great enough, you'll also probably want to just replace the crank. When you have the block machined, have them check the bearing surfaces for the crank bearings and see how worn they are, that block my be no good at this point. You might think about looking for another 2.8 in a junkyard.

It's alright, only got around 30k on the combo, not sure if it's a wc or not, I'd assume it is since it was put in by a shop not that long ago, but was in the car when I got it. 2nd is pretty stiff, but i"m fairly sure it needs fluid added. Since it's only stiff when it's cold, after a couple shifts it's smooth as butter. I drive it pretty hard, so we'll see if it's going to last.
