Killing itself.
Today is the first actuall, warm and humid, day today and i'm driving my 86 T/A around. i've noticed this before but it hasn't happened as often as now. i will be cruising at about 30-40 MPH (Speedo is off) and lightly on the gas, when the engine will start sounding like it's missing or something. it'll be at 2,000 or so RPM and then die down to 700-1000 and then recover. It hasn't completely stalled out, and i hope it doesn't.
Engine and other specs:
350 Carbed bored .30
Speed "Demon" 750 CFM carb
.498" lift @ 292 comp cam
wieand high rise intake
headman headers
2.5 inch pipes ran out the back to a flow master muffler (cut cats)
Now, there is no choke on the carb, yet, i plan to be putting a vac on it and changing the timing which i hope could be whats causing this.
But, another thing i noticed on this 75+ degree summer day in northern Indiana, is that she ran at a little under 220 degrees. fan works and all. could it be the heat?
Any answers would be helpful, please and thanks. I want this car running like a champ for the summer.

I also noticed after firing it up it does idle 150-300 RPM's more... Could it be the thermostat?

Re: Killing itself.
It could be fuel supply related.
220 is not too bad. Most of the cars origionally ran that from the factory. With the air dam installed and a single fan running constantly I used to run about 205.

ok, but it never did the stalling stuff until it got up to 220. i drove it afterwards later and it ran 200-210 and was fine. im going to be doing a tune up here this weekend so we'll see what happens from there.
