Have I got your attention? Yes, my 3.1 sounds like a pigeon cooing. It is continuous and only at an idle. I've searched the forums but I need to figure out what it is. I ran it with the belt off once and it quit. It's been doing this for months and it runs great. It just sounds crazy when I'm idling. Thanks.

i just had this problem it ended up being a small crack in my brake booster (that round black ball thingy) i took it off and threw it out and capped off the vac line the sound went away and i havent heard it since. check that
