Camaro problems
Camaro problems
Hey guys, this is my first thread. However I lurk often.
Here is my problem, see if I can get some help.
I have a 1985 Camaro 2.8 fuel injected. When I start the engine it goes for about 2 seconds and then dies. I have gotten it to idle if I take my air filter off, but as soon as you even touch the gas it just bogs down.
So far I have replaced the in-line fuel filter, the spark plugs, and the cap and rotor. I want to get this fixed once and for all!

Re: Camaro problems
Ok so I just flashed my error codes and I have only one.
54. Low voltage at fuel pump OR Low voltage at Fuel pump relay OR Output failure at quad driver module
Does this mean my fuel pump needs replacing, or could it just be a fuse?

Re: Camaro problems
I'd start by fixing the cause of code 54. I can't tell you how off the top of my head, that's what Chiltons manuals and this forum are for. I specialize in internal engine.
the SES light and Check Engine light are just 2 different names for the same thing.
Sorry that's the most I can help without doing your research for you.
