Gas fume canister?

do you need that stupid looking gas fume collector?
does it prevent vapor lock?

i removed my q-jet so i dont have a vacuum line running between the two anymore. so i removed it and ran a vacumm line from the tank connection to outside the fender.

Re: Gas fume canister?

you dont need it but it does keep your car from reaking of gas. All it does is collect the vapors from the gas tank and when you start the car it is purged by the engine vacuum. Also be sure to put a check valve on the line to keep dirt and grime from getting in.

Re: Gas fume canister?

thanx, it already has a check valve that i left intact. i ran a line underneath the fender so hopefully the fumes get sucked out there
