Help! Help! Help! I Just Want To Drive Her
I have a 90' IROC Z that bogs down really bad......
Here's background on the problem and what we've done.
I'm going to be as detailed as possible, as I think the "Experienced" might find something we've missed.
The Problem ...Originally, I would drive the car for about 5-10 minutes, then when I would accelerate it would bog down to just about no power, at all. To get any type of acceleration, I would have to let off, and then gradually accelerate to get any type of response (minimal at that). But, if I stop, turn the car off, and then on again, it would run fine for about the same amount of time.
We've replaced the plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel regulator, coolant temp sensor, distributor, fixed timing, and cut off the converters just in case they were clogged. Also, we found three bad injectors and replaced them, as well.
Drove around, still the same problem. I was really frustrated, so I decided to leave it alone for a bit. I bought a fuel/injector cleaner and dropped it in the tank. A few weeks later, went to work on it some more, and it drove for over 45 min without a problem. Then...back to bogging down, AGAIN! (will say car felt weak the entire time). Then after reading up (thirdgen.org), we tried the EGR valve. Nothing! Then, the EGR solenoid. Nothing! Currently, the car drives for about 30-45 min without bogging down, but as I said before it doesn't feel like full power, then bogs down, again.
Please, help!!! Any feedback/opinions would be greatly appreciated. I just want to drive her!

have you driven the car with a fuel pressure gauge connected. you may also want to consider replacing the rest of the injectors.

two things I would do, one check your MAP sensor... two what temp thermostat are you running? try running your car with no thermostat...
another thing, how 'bout your O2 sensor... it could be faulty... the only thing I can think of is a sensor giving faulty info... or an injector being faulty...

i agree with skirkland1980, whenever injectors go bad, we recommend that you just replace all of them because eventually you are going to have to replace them anyway.....especially if they are MULTECS!!!
