want to kill myself over the radiator
I tried pulling the radiator out today. For whatever reason, it won't budge, even though I have everything disconnected. Are there any mounting bolts I may be missing? All I could see was the ones on the top that mount the rad support.
Another question: the flare fitting at the bottom of the radiator, which I guess is for tranny fluid, was seized. Vicegrips did no good, and the damn nut fused to the tranny line when I tried to apply heat to it, so I had to use a sawzall to cut the line off. Obviously I'll need a replacement: I doubt I have enough length to just slap on a fitting and call it a day. What size line/fitting do I need to get for this? I would know if the radiator decided to come out >
Thanks.

Re: want to kill myself over the radiator
Sometimes the rubber isolators/pads at the bottom between the radiator end seams and the rad support kinda "glue" themselves on there. There is nothing at the bottom that holds it firmly in place. It's just "sandwiched" in place against the rad support by the upper cover/mount.

I found a massive birds/rodents nest under it. Eww.
Also, are the rads supposed to be tilted, or are they supposed to stand straight up? My rad and my ac coolers are both tilted.
xX89RSXx, any special fitting? SAE or metric?
P.S. Kudos to rockauto for sending me a dirt-cheap all metal rad!

Just read this post after I did the deed lol. I ended up hooking the upper hose port and was able to break the rad free.

I had to cut to size, bend, and double flared the end I cut and the piece going to the tranny. You can rent the flaring kit.
