Summits description says its for circle track or daily driver, TCI's site just talks about circle track use. Does it make a difference? This would be going on my 355 HSR, I just dont want to reuse the stock. If not this one, is there a balancer someone can recommend thats a good product that wont break the bank too much? I deffinatly dont want any poor peices. Any advice????

obviously circle track cars don't require SFI-rated balancer.

 

So should I just spend almost 4 times the money on there "elastomor" balancer? I emailed TCI with the same question and all I got for a response is " I wouldn't go with the Claimer, you should go with the elastomor". I'm trying to avoid the $146 they want for the elastomor, and every other brand of balancers I research I just get "these are crap, just buy a TCI".

 

In truth, you need to know were you are going to run your engine (ie RPM range) if this is you DD than most of the engines life will be run at or under 3500rpm. Keeping this in mind you dont need to buy a 200 dollar balancer to get the job done. You can get then all day long for around 100 dollars or less. Yoy realy dont need a SFI rated one unless you are going to drag the car all the time then you have to.
Look at this one for instance, this might just fit the bill for you and it is under 100 dollars.

As I tell my friends, you gain nothing from over spending your money on every day parts. high prices dont mean better parts all the time.
