Ok, here is my situation. My car runs good at WOT, but not at normal driving. Especially after you run it hard even once! Is that heat soak? Anyway , that is a whole other issue.. WTF? OK, during normal driving and for about a year now, whenever I am shifing into second the car feels real sluggish and does not go into gear smooth. I have a 700r4 trans by the way. OK, so the car just feels real hesitant during the 1 to 2 shift. It used to be real smooth. (felt like a turbo car shifting at part throttle/part boost) know what I mean? Anyway, I keep hearing a ticking noise, really think it is an exhaust leak too. Sounds like it is coming from either the exhaust manifold gasket or the donut. I went under the car when it was idling and didn't feel or see any exhaust leaks. Could this have a major part in the performance problem? I tell you what, about a year back , I had my y-pipe welded and the whole exhaust system inspected and ALL leaks were sealed. WOW! The car had so much more low end torque, and was so quiet that I was always the first car ahead of everyone at EVERY traffic light. It was kind of nice. Versus when I had just an open y-pipe. ( was always the last one, except when I went into WOT? . LOL Anyway, I noticed on these cars that exhuast leaks really , really , REALLY, Change performance. Even the slightest leak. Could it be my fuel pump? I already changed my fuel filter, new fuel injectors, had my catalytic converters inspected, checked for vacum leaks, got a new cap and rotor. I have no codes either. Maybe my timing is off somehow? How would that have happened anyway? Is it possible that my Throttle body is worn? I did have to put a shitload of grease on the spring type part of it that the butterfly rides on. Because it was keeping my throttle suck open to 1000 rpm's during idling and cruising. It was like having cruise control on and set to ****ing 25 mph all the time when the ****ing car was in gear. Anyway, someone please give me an idea of wtf is going on with this g-damn car!
