Smoke when revving.
Smoke when revving.
I have a suspicion that I washed my cylinder walls out with a craptastic edelbrock carb... Just want to get a few other opinions. Now that I have a decent carb on it, my car wants to smoke a bit when I rev it up. It doesn't really have a smell to it, and it is lighter in color. I'm thinking that the rings are leaking and need to reseat (if they can). Anyone got any other explanations?
To specify on what happened, a brand new carb dumped about a gallon of gas into the oil and I tried to start it a few times... (Yeah, I know bad idea but I was angry). I changed the oil and replaced the carb. It smoked bad for a while, but eventually cleared up with the exception of revving it in park.

Re: Smoke when revving.
change your oil and then check your mixture screw if it has one,
you can see if you are running rich is its black smoke
also on edlebrock carbs have a built in function that pre squirts fuel to enrichen the mixture, its possible you just need to adjust couple things
