Alternator question
Ok so about a week ago I started my car and it was running really poorly no throttle response at all and smelt something burning. Popped the hood and noticed that the wire running from the alternator to the battery had ended up against a pulley and cut through it and come to find out shorted out both the battery and the alternator regulator causing me to replace both. Right I just have that wire spliced together with some electrical tape but it's a really thick gauge wire so not sure if it's getting a good enough current. So I was going to replace it but not sure what it's actually called. I'm thinking the battery cable but not sure. Anyone know??

Re: Alternator question
Powermaster charge wire
You could also buy 8ga wire & 2 terminals and make your own wire if you wanted.
