motor identification

Hey everyone. I am trying to figure out if my 350 engine is an L98, but I can't take it apart to find out. Is there any way to tell just by looking at it. I only ask because I bought the 91 camaro and the guy blew up the original motor and claimed this one is out of a 93 chevy van, but who knows. Thanks.

Re: motor identification

Look for the suffix code on the pad in front of the passenger side head. That can at least tell you if the block was originally an L98. If the cam, heads etc have been replaced then it's just another 350.
