engine stumbles

this just started happening. i just put gas in the car and it felt like the car was lean and it would stumble when i hit the gas from a stop. i pulled over and checked out my carb everything seems fine. i just put 5 qts of oil and dipstick said epmty. whats going on ARGH

no leaks. and a compression test checks out ok. there's no blue smoke my spark plugs are light tan. i just went to make sure my timing is ok and thats good i have good vacuum at the manifold too. only other thing i can think of is maybe it could be the carb thats decided to take a crap on me or maybe someone decided to play a joke on me and put something in my gas tank before i left for work today cause thats when i filled it up. this is all so frusterating
