I was taking the steering pump and water pump off and I found this code on my engine. I'm not sure what engine is in it because it's not the original. The code is "5/8 16350", does that mean its a 350? I couldn't find anything out about that code. If there is a place to look for the engine code could anyone help me? Thanks, CJ

 

The engine code that says 305, 350 etc. will be on the backside of the motor, either passenger or drivers side depending on how old the motor is. Newer motors tend to have them on the drivers side but that's not fool proof. It may be visible but you'll probably have to move a bunch of wiring/hoses out of the way and crawl on top of the motor to get a good enough view of it (may have to remove the hood of the car also--looking from the top down) if the head doesn't cover it. Not sure what code would be on the front of the motor.
