A/C Overheats Engine

For some reason when I turn the A/C on in my 89' V6 Camaro, the engine temp guage will sowly rise. It has always done this since I bought the car back in '05- since then even replacing the engine with a refurbished identical. What could be some of the problem making the engine overheat? Compressor maybe? Idk.. Thanks in advance!

Re: A/C Overheats Engine

it could be your radiator may be a tube plugged, buildup over the years, but the AC condenser is right in front of your radiator turning your freon back to a liquid state so the heat blows right into the radiator. try flushing your cooling system and pressure wash the radiator and AC condenser from under the hood to remove any road grime and bugs in the cooling fins. if the car has a clutch fan make sure the clutch is working.
