hi everyone i have another post. HELP ME BUILD A FAST STREET CAR. i got great help and thoughtful information from ROLLING THUNDER i have now decided to keep my cam keep my parts and change my intake. i've been wanting to buy an air-gap rpm, but i have not done it because of clearance issues. well i think the benefits outweigh clearance plus my wife says it is okay to buy a hood
so here is what i have. tell me which intake you would put 87 iroc-z, 87-95. 355 sbc, rebuilt bottom, sealed power flat top short skirt pistons 4 valve reliefs, lunati 7.290 pushrods, lt4 hot cam, 218in-228ex@.50-525in-525ex lift, 112lobe. 1800-5800 rpm, procomp 1.6 stainless steel full roller rockers, procomp 190cc heads summit 600cfm carb, rejetted, 50cc accelerator pump, accel supercoil, 8.5msd wires, hooker shorty headers, dynomax 2.25in true dual exhaust, which intake would you put on this combo? which parts would you change if any? this car is a daily driver built to STOMP MUSTANGS! and ricers

The Performer RPM has the same dimensions as the Performer Air Gap.
The Performer RPM Air Gap is taller. So if your getting a hood, might as well take the Performer RPM Air Gap. But a Performer RPM (not air gap) will easily fit under a stock hood, I have one.

I'm sure it doesn't hurt to have the air gap.
My 350 came with the Performer RPM on it, so I have nothing to compare to. But the Performer RPM, or the Air Gap or Air Gap RPM seem to be the intake of choice for most. I attend alot of car shows and cruise ins (went to 3 today alone) and all the chevy's and most fords run them if they have an aftermarket intake (some guys have totally restored original equipment cars). On a side note - I saw a 1957 Impala today that was a vert with the original fuel injected V6 - was cool to see a 1957 factory furl injection car.
