Help identify this noise (Video included)
Ok so my mom has a 92 RS. It has developed a strange noise. It sounds like a grinding noise, its kinda hard to describe. Today we jacked the rear of the car up and put it on stands so I could check out the rear differential and do a fluid change. We put the car in nuetral and spun the rear tires. In the first video, you can hear what the sound is. It is coming from middle of the car, I think the driveshaft.
When we had the car up, we put it in gear with the engine running to see if we could hear the noise. I guess the rear passenger brake drum is weak, because when I went to put the car in park, that tire was still spinning a little.
Went to take the car for a test drive and a new noise has popped up. It makes the noise when you get on the gas. The second video has that new noise. Any ideas on what these noises are?

First vid - sounds like something is catching on the u-joint or driveshaft - did you check to make sure the e brake cable hasn't come loose or something?

I didn't inspect it up close while it was up. I will put it up on stands again tomorrow so I can take a look. Any ideas on the second sound?

it sounds like u havent changed the brakes for a while so u might have to surface the rotors (wheel) take the tire off and check all of them for scratches carved in by the brake.

Re: Help identify this noise (Video included)
Took a closer look at the car today. Checked out the front first. Brake rotors look good, no grooves. It makes a slight noise when you turn the wheel, but I am thinking that is from the resistance of the brake pads.
Jacked the rear up and inspected the driveshaft & u-joints. Didn't see anything in contact with them. We put the car in nuetral to spin the driveshaft by hand. The sound is coming from the transmission area, near where the yoke inserts into the transmission. It is weird because when I turn the driveshaft counter-clockwise, it makes the noise in the first video. When you turn the driveshaft clockwise, the noise is not present. Is the yoke supposed to be missing a tooth?
We checked the rear while the drive shaft was disconnected. I uploaded another vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbI1rrfZDJo Took the drums off to look at the shoes, they came off very easily. How does the brake shoe look?
