swapping out intakes then...whoops
swapping from tbi to tpi with a 305. got everything but if needed I will probably end up going back into town for forgotten parts and whatnots. I can definetly reroute fuel lines and coolant hoses, etc...however when I bought the car it was sitting in the guys property for God knows how long so the intake had alot of leaves, pine needles, and them annoying little helicopters on and behind it. when I pulled the tbi intake off it was just inevitable that some of that garabage would get in there. I cleaned all the crap that got in and around the lifters and such; but I'm afraid some of that crap got into the them holes that serve as oil routes leading to the oil pan, as well as the cam. I wouldn't worry too much if it just got into the oil pan. a quick oil change and cleaning the oil pan and voala. however, I'm praying someone is goin to tell me not to worry and that it'll just work itself out. do I absolutely NEED to rip my engine apart to thoroughly clean the cam? it wasn't alot of crap that got in there too, which is why it would suck to turn a 2 day job into a month-long project over one or two helicopters. could I just take an air compressor and blow that **** out?? HELP!!

Re: swapping out intakes then...whoops
The main concern is if a couple of those helicopter leaves happen to block the oil pump suction screen. Other than that, just do an oil change, run it for 5 minutes, then do another oil change.
