305 TPI stuttering badly during heavy acceleration, fine in ALDL mode
I have a pretty much bone-stock 86' IROC-Z28 (305 TPI). Recently it started
stuttering really badly (almost to the point of stalling) if you slam on the
throttle. If you accellerate slowly it seems okay.
If I put the car into ALDL mode, it runs perfectly fine. So, I'm
guessing that it's most likely a sensor or computer problem of some sort,
rather than a mechanical issue.
Tomorrow I'll probably try unplugging my MAF sensor, and see how it runs.
Does anybody have suggestions of things I should check?
