i need to know exactly what this does and where it mounts up on a 305 tpi,
my car at idle it raises and drops rpm repeatedly,could this be the problem? ill try to get a video of exactly what its doing soon so you can all help me diagnose it

Not likely, sounds more like your Idle Air Control valve.I believe there is a tech article here somewhere on how to adjust it.

I know that Charcoal canister on my 87 is pouring fuel out of it. Looks like the purge valve takes in fuel line, and maybe working with a solenoid and canister suposed to restrict / take in fuel vapor?
But I just picked up the same part number, as trying to replace stuff with that so my car is drivable again, Can't find the canister to match my car/ line setup
Ive also had been having the rpm jumping issue on startup, and then car randomly dieng when driving. Ive checked/ replaced everything else. didnt now this part of the car existed till fuel started pouring out.
