You may have a worn out key or key in switch. This will cause your VATS to work erratically. You may want to invest in a VATS bypass module. They are available through various suppliers. I did a google search and found a bunch of options, one for $2.98

Re: Car Randomly Wont Start For ME

its weird cuz if it happens ill usually just have to attach jumper cables to the battery and jump it for literallly 2 seconds and it starts right up every time. im thinking the battery doesnt have enough juice to turn the engine over. possibly a drain or something. thats what im thinking....?

Oh. I misundersood the point of your thread. I thought that the car was randomly starting or not starting without intervention. Check your batt terminals and clean them as needed. Make sure that they tighten securely. They sometimes strip out. Have your battery tested. Most shops will test it for free.

When you say it does nothing does it have power or is the car completly dead? If its completly dead the first thing i'd check would be battery connection

I had a similar problem and it was a bad connection to my starter solenoid. Sometimes it would be getting power and other times it wasn't, all i had to do was tighten up the nut that had come loose
