1987 iroc z

my 87 iroc z has a 305...the power steering pump has a 2 belt pulley...is this normal?...can I do with out the short pulley since it has another one that goes with the air cond compressor...the short one is loose and i do not see how to adjust it cause the pump does not look like it can be adjusted....thanks

the second belt is like a backup i guess.........cut it off and forget about it. i have 87 firebird 350 tpi...i eliminated the same belt along with my a/c compressor, the smog pump... all that crap can go
