Just picked up a 90 GTA, no power?

Hi, everyone. I recently brought home a 90 GTA 305 TPI. Was told that the motor was pulled, replaced some gaskets, oil pump, water pump, timing chain, and added headers ( flow-tech) I was told the timing needed adjustment, and that the 02 sensor was not put into the header, that i needed to mount an 02 sensor because the engine light would come on after driving a few minutes, which it does.
The car starts fine and seems to idle ok, But when i get on it, it seems to be bogged down. From say 50 mph, i put my foot into it, it drops down a gear but does not have any strong surge forward. From a dead stop, if i put my foot into it, it lazily goes forward, no chirp, no quick surge forward.
Any suggestions?

Thanks one and all for any and all help.
