I Hate Fords.
I Hate Fords.
So I was awoken by a police douche this morning at around 2:30am to find my car at my front doorstep.
Some guy with an f150 turned the corner by my house, and seemed like he floored it or something and lost a wheel hitting my car. Once he hit my car, it was pinned between his truck and a light pole, so there is damage on both sides. The Isuzu is a friend of the families.
Say goodbye to another 92 camaro with 70k~ miles on it. POS Ford.
Here is the aftermath:

That isn't totalled. Yes, the rocker bok is needing heavy work, and maybe the floorpan. Still, It's salvageable, for under $3000. Don't let the insurance company take it, or you become the douche.

Oh yeah, as for the left front corner, just cut away the crunched steel, weld on un-crashed replacement steel from any '82-'92 camaro from any salvage yard.
The rocker box will forever be somewhat weakened, but weld in a pair of Competition Engineering's best subframe connectors.

Honestly the car is not salvageable. The whole passenger side is caved in from being crushed between the truck and a lightpole. The driver side is caved in from being...well again between the truck and my friends vehicle.
The guy's story doesn't make sense. He told me he lost his wheel, then smashed into my car.
I took measurements from the stop sign where he entered my street to where my car was parked. It was a total distance of 170ft~ +/- 2ft.
My car traveled 27ft backward, and then 25ft from the street, into my lawn. Total distance of my PARKED car was 52ft. There were no scrapes on the ground until after the full length of my car. That concludes he collided with my vehicle, then lost his wheel. For his truck to travel that distance up into my lawn in the same position, he must've been at a high rate of speed when he hit my car.
When the tow truck pulled his truck out of our lawn, the only thing dragging the wheel was the brake line that was connected to the caliper. The upper control arm ball joint snapped, the cv joint snapped, and his lower control arm snapped.
I am still finding CV shaft ball bearing in my lawn.
I am ****ing tired of *******s speeding through here like it's a raceway, I can't wait to get a speed bump through here.

BTW all that light color **** on the paint is condensation, the paint wasn't messed up at all. The pictures make it look bad.

Re: I Hate Fords.
those $hitty trucks are so notorious for ball joint/wheel bearing failures in this case ball joint I don't know how Ford could get away with selling them. I can't tell you how many i've seen with the front wheels at -2 degrees camber driveing around. I'm supprised more of this kind of thing doesn't happen. Leave it to a moron behind the wheel of a Ford to ruin a perfectly good Chevrolet.
No the pictures didn't make it look bad at all the stupid *** behind the wheel of that POS truck did

Re: I Hate Fords.
Regardless of any mechanical issues, the fault ALWAYS rests with the driver, not the vehicle. It's not a Ford that killed your car, it's a driver. People don't stop to think about the fact that they have been given a PRIVILEGE to drive, and that part of the responsibility of that PRIVILEGE is to ensure the sound mechanical functionality of the vehicle you have been given the PRIVILEGE to drive.
Folks tend to think everything is this world these days is a God-given right or something.
No one takes responsibility for their actions anymore. It's never anyone's fault. Makes me sick.
Sorry about your ride

Well if you think it's totaled don't give to to the wrecking yard or anything. Try to sell it for a very cheap price and let someone that wants to fix it have the car.
