92 camaro non-start

well heres my story i have a 92 camaro 305 engine that i cant get to run. my problem is when i turn the key fuel pump pumps, injectors spray but no start. now if i spray quick start or pour gas in carburator she fires right up no problem but wont stay running even holding the gas pedal, then when the car gets ready to shut off injectors spray but engine still stops. i have change fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel filter and some round sensor thing on side of throttle body. can someone please tell me my next step to get this car running
p.s. dont know if this means anything but all gauges go all the way over to right when trying to start and also my ignition is bypass with a push button

Ignition bypass? Do you have a wiring diagram of how it is tied into the circuit? I am willing to bet money this is the source of your problem if the VATS has not been properly addressed. Your gauges going all the way to the right is a definite sign that something is wrong electrically.

i dont have a diagram but its a simple bypass, 2 wires going to the starter connected to a button. i have to turn the key to the run position then hit the button to start. im thinking its possibly my computer ,is there any way to check a computer?

Re: 92 camaro non-start

Computer problem can happen but are VERY rare. Have you verified that you have spark? When you connected your starter to the push button, did you disconnect it from everything else it was originally hooked up to? How long have you run the car with it that way?

Remember there are 3 things an engine needs to run... fuel, compression, and spark. You already verified the fuel so make sure you have spark and go from there.

Re: 92 camaro non-start

When you say carb you are refering to the TBI unit, right? Have you checked fuel pressure at all before changing parts?
