$400 on new ign. system. still no start...
well where do i start. Got a 87 Iroc with a 305 tpi. was running awesome then broke down about a block from home. Not getting any spark, getting fuel cuz i can smell it flood up during cranking. put in a brand new MSD distributor and dual blaster coil tonight and still nothing... got power on the 2 wires coming into the coil and the 2 leaving the coil to the 2 prong plug on the dist. So WTF is up with the 4 prong plug beside it? no power coming in or out of any of the 4 wires with the key in the "on" position. I dont think i have been this angry in some time. By the sounds of things these 4 wires are inputs into the ECM. Leading me to belive the ignition circut in the ECM shat the bed. Not sure though, did notice ground strap to engine was missing, but never had one befor and ran fine. so i ground it out using aligator clamps and not a thing? any help would be great guys. i just dont fully understand the relationship between Dist. and ECM whats sending inputs/outputs or vice versa. thanks

yeah fuses are all good, i have power to the coil and from the 2 wires from the coil to the back of the distributor. im leaning towards my ecm being the problem. the 4 wire plug at the back of the ditributor which runs to the ecm has no power in or out. leading me to believe that there is no signal from the computer. i dunno though. getting really mad. dont really wanna spend money on a new ecm and find its not the problem. but at this point in time all fingers are pointing at that being the problem.
