which shorty plugs for an '83 LG4?

There are two Accel shorty plugs that they call for on Summit Racing, and as far as I can tell, the only differences is that one has a resistor and one doesn't, and the ones with resistors are $8 more for 8 than the ones without resistors.

Do I absolutely NEED the ones with resistors or do I not?

Don't bother with those aftermarket plugs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a set of stock AC/Delco plugs.
Check the underhood sticker for the correct size and gap.
