my car starts for 3 seconds and then dies

has spark, fuel pump works, and timing is good

turn key runs for a few seconds and dies but if i give it gas it will run fine, but it just wont idle

 

Does this problem intermittent? Mine seems to idle out and just drop too low and die.

I've cleaned, and then replaced the IACV.
Set timing.
I've replaced the entire ignition system, dizzy to plugs, sans timing chain and balancer.

I think I have a fuel problem.

 

hmmm. that sucks check the pickup coil resistance because if it aint firing in the correct order it aint going to idle.

 

something similar happened before and it was the Ignition control module but that time it wasnt starting this time it will start but dies

I have a new dizzy, pick up coil, ignition control module, cap and rotor, coil is fairly new and coil wires are new

i dont think im losing spark i think the car is burning the gas from the prime and something is telling the pump not to pump unless i give it gas manually, so it wont idle at all
