Belt tensioner Pulley-need clarification
Hi,
The Pulley that is attached to the serpentine belt tensioner started giving noisy sound and i think need to be replaced. But i noticed that the one available in the market (ACDelco) has a flat smooth surface whereby the one in my car has an edges (track for belt). Can I replace mine with the flat surface model? (see attached photos)

Yes. I ran into the same thing when replacing mine. The smooth tensioner works just fine in place of the one with a shoulder on it.
