Oil Pressure guage not showing pressure

I know there is oil pressure but how do I tell if it is the sending unit or the guage that is not working

Re: Oil Pressure guage not showing pressure

Have you checked to see if your unit is hooked up? What does the gauge do when you turn the key to the "ON" position?

Re: Oil Pressure guage not showing pressure

Grounding the guage wire should peg the guage all the way one direction or the other when key is on.

If you have the OPSU with 3 wires, make sure you don't ground the wrong one - one of the 3 comes from the battery and is a +, the 2nd runs to the fuel pump and is a +, and the 3rd works the guage which should be a ground.
