intermittent Code 32

Hey guys, My 87 Camaro 5.7 liter TPI will ocasionally throw a code 32 at me. The tube that connects to the catalytic converter had snapped off and I welded it back on a few days ago, could this be the cause of the code? If so why wouldn't it flash the code until just now?

Re: intermittent Code 32

Code 32 in that year is EGR circuit. Check all the lines on the solenoid and EGR valve. If you have no driveability or emissions issues I wouldn't worry about the code too much.

Hello 87camaroPOS!!

Check the wire to the diagnostic switch under the plenum, at the base of the EGR valve, and see if it looks broken/just hanging on!!

Also check what "thewizard" said!!

P.S. Be careful with the wire, if it ain't broke.......well you know the rest!!!
