LT1 heads??

Will LT1 heads fit onto a zz4 motor?

Research the LTx head/intake conversion. There are many threads about it on these boards.

They will bolt on, but the coolant passages are all wrong, and needs some expensive modifications to make them work. The LT1 heads are good, but not good enough to make it worth the cost of the work. The design of Vortec heads was HEAVILY influenced by the design of the LT1 heads, but the Vortecs had some improvements on top of the LT1 design. The Vortecs are also a direct bolt-up deal. Use those. Cheaper, easier, and better heads to boot.

Bolt-up except for needing a different intake manifold. But, yes, I agree - just get Vortec heads.
