How do I find out what kind of cam i have

I have a 350 bored .4 over I have been working on and I want to know what kind of cam has been installed. Since the previous owner built the motor and hasn't been forth coming with information. Is there anyway to find out the lift and a cam.

Not usually unless it's an aftermarket cam which will have the part number/grind number etched in the end of it. Factory numbers are very difficult to x-reference. Seen many posts here looking for help with factory markings and they usually come up dry.
