smoke problem

ok my car smokes out the tailpipes the smoke is white which i kno is supposed to be a sign of a headgasket going bad but the car only shoots white smoke out when u give it gas when its idling no smoke at all. i do have an exhaust leak on my driver side but the smoke comes out the passenger side i checked the oil and its looks like new oil its not milky or anything i even smelled it and it smelled like oil idk if maybe cause i have an exhaust leak where my motor goes to the block if tht would cause the smoke. my car hgasnt overheated and seems to be running fine. any ideas on wht this could be

Re: smoke problem

wht should i look for if the head is cracked? ive been lookin up stuff and it all gets confusing ppl say cracked head gasket but dont rly have coolant loss or mixing with oil( took oil cap off no mily build up and none on dipstick) my friends told me tht it dosent seem tht bad since its a lil smoke under accleration and just smells like gas being burned. i guess i culd check my plugs wht shuld i look for on the plugs? a color difference or wht? if it comes down to it ill loose the crappy lo3 heads and get whatever heads i cna afford tht are better(any advice on heads wuld be great also)
