fuel and noise help needed.
So I got a new 383 built. supposed to have 10.5:1 comppression.
So the first question is when i'm driving and give it a little gas I hear a rattle noise almost(told it was spark knock or something like that). It does it most when i'm cruising along and I give it a little extra gas to go up a hill. I've been only running 93 octane in it from shell. The timing is set at 10 degres advanced.
Second question is now that i'm getting on it more yesterday I got on it from a stop and when I hit about 70 (guessing) it lost power like it was running out of fuel. I have (yes i know you can yell at me) a stock fuel pump for a 750cfm carb. Do you think this pump is the problem.
