Car: 1990 firebird,1989 Iroc z,1986 fire
Engine: 3.1lt,5.7tpi,3.1mpfi
Transmission: auto,auto
Axle/Gears: 273?277
82 trans am 305 or 307
I checked the vin code and it said this car has a 307.also its a cross fire injection but didn,t use the letters cfi.If I want to change this motor over to a carb op motor,will I have to change the heads,or is this place the wrong place to ask that question?

If the engine is original,it's a 305 with 9.5 compression
ratio.'77-82 chevy engines were painted light blue,so
if it's that color probably still original.
switching over to carb.pretty easy-heads are not
different.

thanks I thought they didn't know what they were talking about,and the change over to carb I,ve gone to the carb forum on that,thanks again
